Position Overview

As a Client Account Manager (CAM) in the defense and space market, you will support private sector clients, develop new business relationships, and drive multi-million-dollar procurements. This innovative role can be performed in any U.S. location.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop existing and new Defense Contractor relationships (e.g., Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, General Dynamics, Northrop Grumman, and emerging companies) to promote business growth both in the US and internationally.
  • Drive the sales process by identifying new opportunities, coordinating responses to RFPs, and serving as Capture Manager on large, complex procurements.
  • Attend conferences and network to generate and develop new business opportunities.
  • Manage multiple on-going proposal and sales efforts while mentoring sales and business development staff, and participating in corporate initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with the Defense Contractor Market Growth Director, Operations Director, and peers to gather client feedback and ensure satisfaction.
  • Partner with operations teams to develop strategies for business growth, project execution, and client service while representing Jacobs in industry forums and professional organizations.
  • Assess client needs and project requirements for planning, design, and construction projects, including advanced manufacturing and office renovations.
  • Develop strategic plans to expand client relationships and promote all of Jacobs’s capabilities, including Divergent Solutions, Strategic Consulting, and Advanced Manufacturing, as well as the full range of F&ES Services.
  • Position yourself for future opportunities to advance to a Sales Director or other senior management roles.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.
  • Proven sales experience with an understanding of contract management and project delivery methods.
  • At least 15 years of experience in sales, project management, or leadership roles within government and defense operations.
  • Willingness to travel for client and operations visits; United States Citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional registration (PE or RA).
  • Commercial manufacturing experience.
  • Previous defense contractor experience.
  • Knowledge of international defense sales, including foreign military and direct commercial sales.
  • International sales or operational experience.

  • Compensation: Base salary range from $153,500.00 to $268,600.00, determined by location, skills, experience, and training.
