Position Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely patient registration, interviewing patients to obtain complete account details, verifying insurance coverage, and collecting patient liability amounts. Key Responsibilities

  • Interview patients at the workstation or bedside to obtain necessary account details, utilizing carts/computers on wheels when needed.
  • Provide exemplary Customer Service throughout the registration process.
  • Ensure that patient charts are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Verify insurance coverage and obtain required pre-certification/authorization.
  • Calculate and collect patient liability amounts.
  • Obtain all necessary signatures for treatments, releases, and payment authorizations.
  • Process patient charts according to established productivity standards and paperwork flow.
  • Interview incoming patients or their responsible parties to capture identification, demographic, insurance, and financial information.
  • Assign Insurance Plans (IPlans) accurately.
  • Verify insurance benefits and determine pre-certification/authorization status through online resources or phone.
  • Secure signatures and copies of identification and insurance cards as required.
  • Clearly explain policies regarding services, pricing, insurance billing, and payment of accounts.

Required Qualifications

  • 1 year of related experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.
