Job Description
Prestigious Hedge Fund is seeking a customer-focused Front-Line Endpoint Engineer
to serve as the first point of contact for technical support. This role delivers timely assistance across software, hardware, and network environments, and partners with Systems Engineering on broader infrastructure initiatives.
They are looking for a proactive communicator with strong technical skills who can guide and empower users toward effective solutions. The Front-Line Endpoint Engineer will support colleagues across global locations.
They combine a Zero Trust security approach with a startup mindset, giving engineers hands-on exposure to modern security practices in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the first point of contact for technical issues, owning problems through resolution or appropriate escalation.
- Support and maintain end-user hardware and devices, including laptops, mobile devices (iOS/Android), and peripherals.
- Proactively monitor systems, perform updates, and carry out routine hardware and software maintenance.
- Communicate clearly with users while accurately documenting issues and resolutions in ticketing systems.
- Work closely with internal IT teams to resolve complex issues and improve support processes.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and provide after-hours and weekend support as required.
Requirements:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable working across global teams and diverse backgrounds.
- Desire to do hands-on tinkering including enjoying experimenting with computers and understanding how they work at a deeper level.
- Confident problem solving, applying critical thinking and research to tackle unfamiliar challenges.
- Adaptability and curiosity, with motivation and learning ability valued over specific prior experience.
- Comfortable managing multiple workstreams, supported by solid organizational and project management skills.
