Position Overview

We are currently seeking an Assistant Account Executive – the linchpin on client accounts – who will execute strong media relations, pitch reporters, produce client-ready communications, and build powerful journalist relationships. Key Responsibilities
- Complete daily scans, draft meeting agendas, timesheets, and clips.
- Ensure accurate reporting and meet deadlines for monthly and quarterly content.
- Develop a strong knowledge of media that influence client stakeholders, including customers, prospects, and investors.
- Understand how to approach various media outlets and adhere to their deadlines.
- Exhibit exceptional proofreading and editing skills with extreme attention to detail.
- Assist in the development of presentation content and agendas.
- Build compelling story narratives by comprehending each client’s business, industry, and competitors.
- Develop and nurture strong relationships with relevant journalists.
- Manage editorial, speaking, and awards calendars.
- Independently craft media pitches and secure relevant opportunities and measurable results.
- Create media background and briefing materials to prepare clients for interviews.
- Understand the value of PR for clients and achieve valuable results for their businesses.
- Produce client-ready written communications and maintain strong verbal communication.
Required Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in public relations or a related field.
- B.S. in Public Relations, Communications, or a related discipline.
- Strong interest in financial services, professional services, technology, and/or B2B communications.
- Proficiency in Cision, Factiva, and Microsoft Suite.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple accounts.
- A collaborative team player who is resourceful and proactive in seeking answers.
