We are recruiting an Experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join the Production Engineering organization supporting the 787 Program in San Antonio, Texas. Airplanes in San Antonio are completing balance to-go burndowns, seats installation, storage and flight readiness activities.

Develops and implements production and tooling methodologies. Leads and implements manufacturing plans. Conducts producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches requirements. Assists in providing producibility information for inclusion in project plans and helps document producibility best practices. Resolves technical problems of significant impact to performance, cost or schedule. Coordinates and implements new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies and concepts. Validates and ensures production readiness of solutions to complex problems. Ability to support 1st and 2nd shift including weekends on a rotating basis.

Enhancing and developing non-recurring build plans to support aircrafts during storage/re-activation/pre-flight activity.

Shipside support to identify process improvements and answer build questions.

Coordination with Engineering functions on new and open nonconformances.

Coordination with 787 Engineering Teams, including Everett and South Carolina Flightline.

Qualifications

Must have: a Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an ABET accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry and applicable experience in a professional exempt engineering classification.

Experience in: manufacturing engineering in Aerospace.

Ability to: contribute with minimum supervision.

Experience supporting: any Company Commercial Airplane program (737, 767, 777, 787).
