Position Overview
Join the Business & Licensing Division at the Colorado Department of State where you will be a key member of our Customer Support Services Team. In this role, you will deliver outstanding service by training to meet the varied needs of the public, cross-training across multiple units, and ensuring confidentiality and compliance with state policies. This position offers Compensation: $41,016.00 - $48,000.00 Annually and is open exclusively to Colorado state residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Train to meet the public's needs and provide end-user support for a wide range of services offered by the division.
- Cross-train in various areas including Walk-in Customer Support, Service Center, Authentications, and Administrative Rules.
- Participate in reviewing and recommending updates to online FAQs and website content, as well as in user acceptance testing.
- Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive and personal information in compliance with all state and department policies.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in administrative business functions (e.g., data entry, electronic filing, bookkeeping) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience supporting customers in an office or call center environment.
- If relying on education, unofficial transcripts must be submitted with the application (redactions allowed for personal details).
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in State Service or related governmental work.
- Experience with filing, data entry, and assisting customers using internet and business applications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong de-escalation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
