Growth Marketing Director, Defense and Security
Guidehouse is currently seeking an accomplished and highly motivated marketing leader with a digital-first mindset for our Defense and Security (D&S) sector. Reporting to the CMO and working closely with key stakeholders and executives, you will be responsible for developing, executing and reporting on comprehensive marketing strategies – including distinctive content initiatives, social media management, and multi-channel campaigns – to drive brand awareness and lead generation. This role requires a deep understanding of D&S priority markets, innovative digital campaign execution, and collaborative program development with internal teams and external agency partners.
Salary: $149,000.00-$248,000.00
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and lead a digital-first, demand generation team to plan and execute comprehensive end-to-end marketing programs for the D&S sector.
- Utilize internal AI agents to support campaign program development in accordance with Marketing Department Operations standards.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the sales process and funnel to drive audience engagement and growth.
- Develop and execute LinkedIn-focused campaigns to elevate the Guidehouse brand and attract new opportunities.
- Ensure campaigns align with business goals for key buyer personas, targeted regions, and priority markets.
- Create innovative multi-channel campaigns to drive MQLs and pipeline growth, monitoring conversion rates and optimizing performance at every stage.
- Leverage marketing automation and lead management systems to streamline and measure campaign performance.
- Produce distinctive content and insights that challenge the status quo and stimulate market engagement.
- Collaborate with the content strategy team to develop high-impact assets and optimize SEO/SEM, ABM, social, and PPC strategies.
- Work with internal creative designers and external agencies to develop targeted, compelling digital ads and campaign assets.
- Partner with other service lines and sectors to build integrated campaigns as needed.
- Manage multiple complex programs while fostering strong relationships across peers and leadership.
- Communicate effectively with executive leadership, clarifying priorities and shaping strategies to ensure program success.
- Measure, analyze, and report on campaign performance to leadership.
- Oversee direct reports through team building, project management, and performance reporting.
- Engage D&S sub-market teams to complete program deliverables on budget and on time, including communications, digital content, and thought leadership initiatives.
- Manage the D&S sector marketing budget in alignment with corporate procurement, branding, compliance, and IT policies.
- Reflect and steward the Guidehouse mission, vision, and values at all times.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum bachelor's degree in marketing or a related field
- Twelve (12)+ years of experience in marketing with a track record of driving growth through strategic, multi-channel programs and distinctive content initiatives
- Demonstrated knowledge of consultancy marketing and D&S-related services delivered to both commercial clients and public sector agencies
- Strong business acumen with excellent critical and analytical thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation and influencing abilities
- Ability to articulate complex subject matter in a straightforward, concise manner
- Proven ability to develop impactful go-to-market initiatives for commercializing D&S expertise
- Strong commitment to providing exceptional service and leadership as a trusted marketing professional
- Experience in managing complex projects and building valued relationships at all organizational levels
- Experience collaborating with external agencies to set KPIs, manage budgets, and execute successful campaigns
- Proficiency in digital marketing campaign automation platforms (e.g., Eloqua, Google Analytics, Sitecore) to benchmark and measure ROI
- Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Ability to lead a geographically dispersed team and collaborate effectively within a distributed organization
- Poised, confident, and service-focused with a proven ability to engage and influence leadership at various levels

- Professional Services and Consulting experience
