Packaging Operator/Technician - Req basic Lab, Pipette & Biotech/Pharma Exp)

Position Overview

This role as a Packaging Operator/Technician is responsible for the manual inspection, labeling, and packaging of clinical and commercial products for a Medical Devices Company located in San Diego, CA. It is a 12-month contract opportunity (W2 – US Citizens or GC Holders, GC EAD, OPT, EAD, or CPT) with a standard 40-hour work week on 1st shift (8am-4pm, Monday through Friday). Applicants must have basic lab, pipette, and biotech/pharma experience along with required safety measures (safety shoes).

Key Responsibilities

• Perform manual inspection, labeling, and packaging of clinical and commercial products.
• Carry out finished product packaging to satisfy customer, internal, and clinical demands.
• Ensure packaging adheres to procedures and Quality specifications.
• Inspect in-process packaging and components to remove defective products and packaging material.
• Maintain accurate documentation of manufacturing activities, including device history records and inventory counts.
• Perform simple mathematical calculations to assist in the completion of batch records and support inventory counting activities.
• Participate in safety audits and engage in daily safety discussions/observations.
• Clean the packaging station and processing equipment routinely and adhere to personal protective equipment and contamination control requirements.
• Handle hazardous waste appropriately.

Required Qualifications

• A minimum of 6 months of industry work experience.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Good documentation practices.
• Flexible to work static or rotating shifts and overtime as required.
• Familiarity with computers and common business software.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
