Staff Level Full Stack Engineers (React / Python)

Position Overview

We are looking for a spectacular engineer who lives and breathes Python and React. Join our startup to help build the world's first AI native spreadsheet—a platform designed to radically improve work efficiency through innovative scalability and performance features. You’ll play a critical role in defining technical strategy while owning both backend and frontend implementations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership in areas including ML, permissioning, and advanced application features.
• Maintain and enhance the existing application while architecting next-generation spreadsheet functionalities.
• Develop robust front-end components to complement backend services.
• Collaborate closely with an experienced engineering team to implement creative, scalable solutions.
• Drive new processes and innovative ideas using open source and cloud technologies.

Required Qualifications

• CS Degree or comparable technical experience.
• 9+ years of professional work experience.
• Proficiency in Python, React.js, and strong experience with NoSQL and SQL databases.
• Experience with AI/ML services, and familiarity with technologies such as Cassandra and spreadsheets.
• Deep understanding of scalability, performance, and memory management.

Preferred Qualifications

• Startup experience; ideally as part of a founding team or as an early engineer (<20 employees).
• Proven track record of delivering 10x performance and maintaining minimal bugs.
• Strong communication skills with experience in engineering best practices (Gitflow, CI/CD, Testing, Docker).
• Familiarity with open source communities and a commitment to continuous learning.
