Mechanical Engineer

Central Indiana - Indianapolis Suburbs
Global manufacturer of automotive precision components, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their growing team. You would work in a team of 50 + Engineers & Techs - others include EE, IE and other ME's. This includes some Controls Engineers also.
You would work in Manufacturing Engineering Design of specialized Manufacturing Equipment Design, which could include fixtures, arms, pick-n place units..and many other items in a high volume manufacturing equipment.
Company provides significant career development for their Technical team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work on Design of automated and semi-automated manufacturing equipment.
- Use Solidworks for 3D design and Autocad for 2D Cad Design.
- Get new manufacturing equipment ready for production - qualify, verify equipment capability.
- Support to Manufacturing Operations, including Process Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Production teams as they launch new assembly lines.
- Participate in problem-solving related to production equipment.
- Assist in the implementation of process improvements to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to present data-driven recommendations in regular meetings.
Requirements:
- BSME or BSMET
- 0-5 years of experience, including internships, in Manufacturing Engineering or Design Engineering - Entry level college graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD and/or 2D CAD - prefer Solidworks. Also proficiency in MS Excel for data analysis and problem identification.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work in a diverse team environment.
