Software Engineer, Product (Full Stack)

Position Overview

Folio is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to join our dynamic, remote-first team. You thrive in early-stage environments, wearing multiple hats, and are passionate about building software with tangible value. You will work with modern technologies such as Ruby on Rails, React, Typescript, Hotwire, Node.js, Postgres, and Snowflake while enjoying a flexible work culture that includes quarterly in-person meetups. Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a remote team through daily standups and minimal meetings.
• Develop and maintain a Ruby on Rails application along with its React/Hotwire frontend.
• Engage in full-stack tasks, ensuring scalable, responsive, and intuitive designs.
• Continuously contribute to improving code quality and product design.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on experience shipping high-quality products.
• Expertise in full-stack development using Ruby on Rails, React, Typescript, Hotwire, Node.js, Postgres, and Snowflake.
• Strong object-oriented design and programming skills for architecting complex, data-intensive systems.
• Experience building software for money movement and digitizing traditional, paper-based processes.
• A track record of giving back to the development community through Open Source or pro-bono projects.

• Ability to wear multiple hats and adapt quickly to shifting priorities.

• A commitment to quality over quantity, with a knack for distilling complex systems into delightful applications.
