As a Sales Consultant, you’ll be an advocate for our retail investors and the voice of our organization. You’ll provide an exceptional sales experience and support investors who have chosen or are considering investing with Vanguard. Key Responsibilities

  • Connect with retail clients and prospects through an inbound phone channel, engage in a meaningful conversation to understand their needs, and position the Vanguard products and services that they can use to meet their goals and objectives.
  • Educate clients and prospects on Vanguard’s products and services including financial planning, cash management, and funds/ETFs, positioning appropriate solutions based on uncovered client needs.
  • Identify investors’ non-Vanguard assets, conduct advanced needs analysis of clients’ financial situations, and provide Vanguard's value proposition to win additional business.
  • Own the relationship during the sales process by managing a book of clients and prospects through phone and digital channels to complete the sale.

Required Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Minimum of one-year related work experience; sales experience preferred.
  • Regulatory license and/or registration required (e.g., FINRA, NASAA). The SIE, Series 7, and Series 66 are required to be obtained within department guidelines, with the SIE mandated no later than 14 calendar days before the identified start date.
  • Ability to deliver an exceptional investor experience and consistently drive strong sales outcomes.
  • Strong skills in managing internal relationships with key business partners to complete the sale.
  • Experience in dealing with ambiguity with strong conceptual thinking, excellent oral and written communication, and robust problem-solving and time management skills.
  • Comfort with phone and digital channels used by clients when engaging with Vanguard; contact center experience preferred.

  • Vanguard is not offering visa sponsorship for this position.
  • If offered the position without the necessary FINRA licenses, you must obtain the required licenses within the specified period, and authorization will be required for Vanguard to conduct a credit and criminal check per FINRA regulations.
