Our client, a fast-paced e-commerce company, is looking for a talented Junior Data Scientist to join their marketing analytics team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to leverage data to drive marketing strategy and optimize customer engagement. You will work closely with marketing managers to analyze campaign performance, understand customer behavior, and develop predictive models to enhance marketing effectiveness. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, a solid foundation in statistics and machine learning, and proficiency in data manipulation and visualization tools.

Your Responsibilities

  • Analyze marketing campaign data to measure performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
  • Develop and implement statistical models and machine learning algorithms to predict customer behavior, churn, and lifetime value.
  • Perform A/B testing and other experimental designs to evaluate the impact of marketing initiatives.
  • Create dashboards and reports to visualize key marketing metrics and performance indicators.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting requirements.
  • Clean, transform, and prepare large datasets for analysis.
  • Identify opportunities for data-driven improvements in marketing strategies and customer segmentation.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and techniques in data science and marketing analytics.
  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree: in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field; Master's degree is a plus.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in data analysis, data science, or a related role, preferably within a marketing context.
  • Proficiency: in programming languages such as Python or R, and experience with relevant libraries (e.g., pandas, scikit-learn, NumPy).
  • Experience: with SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
  • Familiarity: with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Matplotlib).
  • Understanding: of statistical concepts and machine learning algorithms.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Communication: Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Experience: with marketing analytics platforms is a plus.

Location and Work Arrangement

This position is located in Miami, Florida, US, and offers a hybrid work arrangement, allowing for a balance between collaborative in-office work and remote flexibility.
