Job Description

About Radio One

Radio One's story started with a simple dream and one radio station. Over four decades, we've grown into an urban media empire spanning 13 markets and over 70 stations. We reach audiences through Reach Media/Radio One on the airwaves, TV One on television, and Interactive One across digital platforms. Our mission is straightforward: to be the most trusted media source in the African American community. We're committed to hiring dedicated people who challenge the norm and embrace a corporate culture built on creativity and passion. Your success is our biggest priority, and we're focused on attracting, developing, and retaining the brightest talent in the industry.

The Role

As an Integrated Marketing Specialist, you'll report directly to the Senior Vice President of Sales or Director of Sales within our Sales department. This is a full-time, exempt position based in Washington, DC.

What You'll Do

You'll manage business-to-business sales with a focus on both large and small accounts, taking ownership of client relationships and driving revenue growth. Your days will involve prospecting and cold calling to develop new sales opportunities while creating client-focused sales plans designed to meet and exceed goals. You'll work closely with leadership to ideate creative and innovative promotional strategies tailored to specific target audiences, and you'll actively participate in team and market initiatives, attending meetings and events that strengthen our market presence.

Collection efforts and account management are part of the mix too. You'll generate strategic plans for our senior client list and recurring business, always thinking about how to extend plan years and deepen partnerships. Your sales plans will work hand-in-hand with Target and Key Account development to ensure we're maximizing opportunities across the board.

What We're Looking For

You need 3 to 5 years of business-to-business sales experience, with media industry experience being preferable. Beyond that, we're seeking someone who is highly motivated and creative—someone who actively looks for ways to innovate and improve. You should be genuinely committed to building and developing new relationships while maintaining strong connections with both new and existing clients.

Professional demeanor matters here. You'll need excellent verbal and written communication skills, combined with strong customer service abilities. A successful track record working with major accounts is important. Experience with web sales and CRM platforms is a plus, as is knowledge of the radio, digital, marketing, and advertising industries.

Legal right to work: You must have legal right to work in the United States and be willing to submit to a criminal background check.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $60,000 to $72,000 annually. The expected earnings for this role are between $5,000 and $6,000 total monthly during the first 6 to 12 months. After this initial period, compensation will transition to a commission-only structure.

You'll receive a comprehensive benefits package including Major Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage, plus FSA and HSA options. We offer a 401K retirement plan, paid time off, and various elective supplemental benefits to support your well-being.
