Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking a Retail Parts Pro to support advanced functions within our DIY business. This professional‐level sales position requires expert knowledge of store systems, automotive systems, and parts management. The candidate will provide exceptional customer service, manage inventory processes, and achieve sales targets. This is a full‐time position. Key Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide GAS2 selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls
  • Achieve personal/store sales goals and service objectives
  • Manage DIY services including battery installation, testing, and wiper installs
  • Ensure high standards of customer service and store appearance
  • Perform key holder duties (task assignment, safety checks, open/close operations)

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Assist with store inventory processes (truck put away, shoot outs, cycle counts, back stock management)
  • Maintain store cleanliness, including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, and parking lot upkeep
  • Provide additional DIY services as needed

Required Qualifications

Success Factors:

  • Ability to locate and stock parts efficiently
  • Strong safety knowledge and skills
  • Experience operating inventory systems, store equipment, POS, and parts lookup systems
  • Expertise in testing and diagnostic equipment for DIY services
  • ASE P2 certified or ASE ready equivalent
  • Advanced solution and product quality recommendation skills
  • Proven advanced parts lookup, sourcing, and selling skills for DIY

Essential Job Skills:

  • Working knowledge of automotive systems including engines, suspension, brakes, electronics, and exhaust
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English (Spanish is a plus)
  • Ability to read, interpret, and write technical documents and safety rules
  • Proven ability to follow written, oral, or diagram instructions
  • Successful completion of the Parts Knowledge Assessment
  • Basic mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong organizational skills with flexibility to work days, evenings, and weekends as needed

Prior Experience:

  • 3-5 years of prior automotive parts experience
  • Proven sales ability with a track record in fulfilling customer transactions

Certificates, Licenses & Registrations:

  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • ASE certification preferred but not required
