Position Overview
Oracle Analytics Data Intelligence Cloud Service is expanding its Fusion Data Intelligence Service presence in US Government and US Defense clouds. In this role as a Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer (Career Level - IC3), you will manage Oracle’s critical cloud infrastructure deployments—including incident management, deployment automation across production and preproduction environments, process improvements, and ensuring the reliability of Oracle Analytics Applications. Candidates must be US Citizens and willing to participate in 24x7 on-call rotations as per Oracle processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automated tools and systems to streamline operations and reduce manual intervention.
- Deploy infrastructure as code (IaC) for provisioning and configuration.
- Perform root cause analysis on defects and outages to prevent recurrences.
- Monitor system performance, maintain security measures, and ensure operational efficiency.
- Write scripts and configurations to automate tasks such as building and deploying software.
- Ensure system scalability, security, and high availability.
- Test and implement disaster recovery plans to handle major outages.
- Establish alert systems to notify relevant teams when issues arise.
- Manage infrastructure changes safely and reliably.
- Champion continuous improvement and innovation within the DevOps team.
- Identify bottlenecks and optimize workflows to enhance customer experience.
- Create custom analytics reports and tailor the data used for reporting resilient service aspects.
- Monitor and measure customer experience and KPIs to improve overall service resiliency.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of security practices, procedures, and incidents.
- Develop security controls to mitigate identified risks and automate security processes.
- Integrate security tools into pipelines and manage related alerts and assignments.
- Proactively monitor build and deployment processes, troubleshoot issues, and resolve errors.
- Automate tasks within the software development lifecycle, including CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure management.
- Support Oracle Analytics Applications on OCI using cloud DevOps methodologies.
- Manage incident response including analysis of T2 metrics, alarms, and logs.
- Start, stop, and upgrade cloud infrastructure and services using OCI tools.
- Provide 24x7 technical support for Oracle Analytics Data Intelligence service.
- Continuously improve Oracle Analytics Apps cloud capabilities with a focus on OCI tools, processes, and configurations.
- Perform daily tasks in accordance with process, compliance, and regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a US Citizen and willing to participate in 24x7 on-call rotations for US Government and Commercial deployments.
- Proven experience in DevOps roles with a focus on cloud infrastructure management and deployment automation.
- Strong background in incident management and process improvement in critical environments.
- Experience supporting Oracle Analytics Applications and cloud services, preferably on OCI.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science or a related field from a reputed institution.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with cloud platforms, cloud services, and Docker container-based applications.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as OCI, AWS, Azure, or GCP including compute, storage, and networking operations.
- Proficiency in Linux/Unix system administration and scripting languages like Python, Shell, or Bash.
- Demonstrated expertise in creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools including Docker, Kubernetes, and docker-compose.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
- Knowledge of security scanners (e.g., Parfait, Sonatype, Fortify, Nessus) and managing security operations.
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Experience with Oracle databases, technical documentation, and supporting remote, global teams.
