Position Overview

Lead Software Engineer, Full Stack (Bank Tech) at Capital One. Do you love building and pioneering in the technology space? Key Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and manage a team of developers skilled in distributed microservices and full stack systems.
• Stay up-to-date with tech trends by experimenting with new technologies and mentoring fellow engineers.
• Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions that drive powerful experiences.
• Utilize programming languages such as JavaScript, Java, HTML/CSS, TypeScript, SQL, Python, and Go while working with Open Source RDBMS, NoSQL databases, container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes), and AWS tools.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• At least 4 years of experience in software engineering (internship experience does not apply).
• At least 1 year of experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s Degree.
• 7+ years of experience in one or more of the following languages: JavaScript, Python, Java, TypeScript, SQL, or Go.
• 3+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, or another cloud service.
• 4+ years of experience with open source frameworks.
• 1+ year of people management experience.
• 2+ years of experience with Agile practices.

• Compensation: Salary ranges vary by location. For example, in McLean, VA the range is $193,400 - $220,700; in New York, NY it is $211,000 - $240,800; and in Wilmington, DE it is $175,800 - $200,700. Actual offers will be detailed in the candidate’s offer letter.
