Job Description
Position Overview
The United States District Court for the District of Connecticut is accepting applications for the position of Data Quality Analyst. Data Quality Analysts ensure the veracity and efficiency of the court’s case information database by collecting, analyzing, and validating all case management, statistical, and other reports while providing quality assurance of all electronic entries. This is a full-time, in-person role (Monday to Friday) withCompensation: $55,163.00 - $113,305.00 per year.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintains accuracy and completeness of official case records from opening to final disposition.
- Checks daily data entries, maintains a user error log, and reviews court entries.
- Researches, prepares, and distributes statistical reports; types, formats, edits, and runs reports.
- Performs edits and corrective actions to ensure data, file, and record accuracy; tests new events.
- Verifies dictionary changes before production and coordinates further testing with managers and staff.
- Performs case assignment functions.
- Collaborates with users to recommend actions, training, and improvements in work processes and data entry systems.
- Receives and addresses electronic case filing questions; coordinates with the CM/ECF Administrator.
- Maintains user permissions in CM/ECF and JENIE according to established protocols.
- Assesses CM/ECF training needs and develops training materials; responds to training requests.
- Assists with implementing CM/ECF policies, procedures, and standards; reviews and recommends policy improvements.
- Drafts and maintains manuals, handbooks, job aides, web content, and other reference materials.
- Troubleshoots docketing/system errors and analyzes CM/ECF processes to streamline operations.
- Attends conferences, training sessions, and meetings as directed.
- Participates in training new deputy clerks regarding quality assurance procedures.
- Performs civil and criminal docketing.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of the Local and Federal Rules of Procedure.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Ability to interact appropriately with the public, chambers staff, and other employees while providing excellent customer service and resolving issues in accordance with regulations and procedures.
- Proficiency in computer applications and programs.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with various workgroups.
- Self-motivation, initiative, and a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to divisional offices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Skill in writing and reviewing procedures, policies, and manuals.
- Advanced knowledge of case opening, closing, and docketing processes.
- Familiarity with the Administrative Office reporting requirements and deadlines.
