Junior Graphic Designer (Hybrid)

Position Overview

Cella is seeking a Junior Graphic Designer to join the in-house agency and Content Center of Excellence for our multinational information conglomerate client. This is a 9-month contract position located in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Designers must be local since onsite presence is required Tuesdays and Thursdays. Compensation Range: $25 - 27 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and design various materials for both print and digital platforms.
• Critically read and analyze creative briefs, understand project scope, and identify additional information needed for execution.
• Communicate and collaborate with project managers, copywriters, creatives, and marketing partners.
• Learn, advocate for, and apply the company's brand guidelines using the established visual identity system.
• Ensure projects are completed to a high standard and within schedule, while managing multiple projects.
• Collaborate with studio leads and team members to develop design concepts and work directly with internal stakeholders to finalize design requests.
• Proof and prepare files for print production.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in graphic arts, design, communications, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in graphic design.
• Firm understanding of editorial design, layouts, and templates.
• Experience with digital advertising, web and social media formats, design specifications, and best practices.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, especially InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
• Experience with print file finalization and print production coordination.
• Strategic and creative thinker capable of interpreting stakeholder requests into meaningful design deliverables.
• Independent and proactive with strong time management and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Good organizational skills and a forward-thinking mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic animation experience for digital advertising and social platforms.
