Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled IT Technician to provide comprehensive technical support and maintain the integrity of our IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer management, networking, and troubleshooting across various operating systems. This role involves assisting users with hardware and software issues, managing network security, and ensuring optimal system performance to support business operations effectively.
Duties
- Deliver technical support for hardware, software, and network issues across Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software problems related to applications such as Microsoft Office, Help Desk tools like BMC Remedy, ServiceNow, and Jira.
- Manage computer hardware including desktops, laptops, servers, and peripherals.
- Configure and maintain computer networks including LAN, VPNs, firewalls, and other security measures.
- Assist with the setup and deployment of new equipment and software updates.
- Monitor system performance and perform routine maintenance to prevent downtime.
- Document incidents and resolutions accurately within ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or Jira.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with end-users to resolve issues promptly.
- Support IT infrastructure projects to enhance system reliability and security.
Requirements
- Proven experience in technical support or desktop support roles within a corporate environment.
- Strong knowledge of operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux.
- Familiarity with computer networking concepts such as LAN, VPNs, firewalls, and network troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in managing computer hardware components and software applications like Microsoft Office.
- Experience with IT support tools such as BMC Remedy, ServiceNow, Jira, or similar ticketing systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot software issues related to operating systems and applications efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills with a customer service-oriented approach.
- Knowledge of IT infrastructure security practices including firewall configuration and VPN setup is preferred.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified) are a plus but not mandatory.

Pay: $25.33 - $30.51 per hour
