Position Overview

As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will lead a transformative era in software engineering by integrating development and operations through a comprehensive infrastructure platform. You will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and integrating computer/network/storage infrastructures while modernizing the program platform using emerging technologies and DevOps/DevSecOps tools to streamline processes, enhance collaboration, and accelerate release cycles.
Please note, this position is contingent upon Contract Award and is based onsite at the RTX Facility in Aurora, CO. TS/SCI without Polygraph clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.
Key Responsibilities
- Support transitioning a system that is tightly coupled to the underlying infrastructure.
- Assist with architecture, design, development, integration, and support of build, integration & test, and deployment pipelines.
- Leverage company and industry best practices to improve scalability, consistency, infrastructure efficiency, reduce deployment time, and automate configuration management.
- Collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, and other agile teams to design and implement robust platform solutions.
- Integrate security and compliance into the platform with services such as encryption and access management.
- Provide operational support for the platform.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or Physics) with a minimum of 5 years related experience.
- Experience designing, implementing, and integrating platform infrastructure services using technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker.
- Proficiency in programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, Ruby, Bash, C++, C#, Go).
- Experience with RedHat Linux.
- Current TS/SCI issued security clearance is required on day one. U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience deploying, configuring, and supporting CICD pipeline tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Bit Bucket, Jenkins, Artifactory, Gitlab).
- Familiarity with Platform as a Service (PaaS) and traditional cloud-based technologies.
- Experience with mission management and infrastructure integration, as well as tools like SonarQube.
- Knowledge in troubleshooting applications and infrastructure services on Linux-based operating systems.
- Experience with automation frameworks such as Terraform, Ansible, and Chef.
- Experience developing, testing, and delivering applications within a DevSecOps framework.
- Background in COTS/FOSS product installation, configuration, and integration.

- Compensation: Salary range of 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD, subject to various factors such as experience, location, and skills.
