Position Overview

We are looking for a versatile Route Sales Driver responsible for selling and distributing products on designated routes while building strong customer relationships and ensuring superior service. Flexibility and adaptability in changing conditions – from traffic delays to unexpected delivery schedule changes – are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Increase revenue for designated accounts by selling products, arranging distribution channels, organizing displays, and executing promotional strategies.
  • Make daily deliveries and sell products to assigned accounts.
  • Ensure all accounts are stocked in accordance with CCBCHC guidelines.
  • Perform Point of Sale advertising, transportation, replacement, and maintenance tailored to each account’s requirements.
  • Record daily monitoring data for product, cash, and asset information accurately.
  • Manage invoicing and collection processes with precision.
  • Build rapport with account personnel by delivering outstanding customer service through effective communication and prompt problem-solving.
  • Ensure all CCBCHC products and tools are visually appealing in assigned locations.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized back room while handling trade breakage for designated clients.
  • Conduct thorough vehicle and cargo safety checks in compliance with CCBCHC standards.
  • Uphold high quality assurance standards for all accounts.
  • Foster a safe working environment and adhere to all occupational health standards.
  • Build enduring relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • Monitor promotional activities, sales figures, and competitor merchandise.
  • Strictly adhere to regulations, policies, workflows, and processes.
  • Meet commitments in a timely manner to build trust and rapport.

Required Qualifications

  • Must have (or be able to obtain within three months) a Class A CDL and be capable of driving a tractor and trailer in compliance with CCBCHC standards.
  • Proficiency in managing heavy equipment vehicles and utilizing a hand truck with two or four wheels.
  • Ability to comply with DOT physical standards and meet safety requirements (including the physical capability to lift, push, or pull items exceeding 50 pounds).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with a commitment to safe driving and punctuality.
  • High school diploma or GED is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • General work experience of 1-3 years, with at least one year in commercial driving.
  • Background in grocery store or consumer products industries.
  • Prior customer service experience and a proactive, enthusiastic approach.
