Position Overview
Our client, a pioneering automotive manufacturer, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Automotive Systems Integration Engineer to join their advanced engineering team. This fully remote position offers the flexibility to work from home while contributing to the development of next-generation vehicles. You will play a critical role in integrating complex automotive systems, ensuring seamless functionality and performance across various vehicle platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the integration of various automotive subsystems, including powertrain, chassis, body control, infotainment, and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS).
- Develop and execute system integration test plans and procedures to validate functionality and performance.
- Analyze system-level requirements and ensure they are met through effective integration strategies.
- Collaborate closely with hardware, software, and validation engineers to identify and resolve integration issues.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and data acquisition systems to monitor system behavior and troubleshoot problems.
- Document integration strategies, test results, and issue resolutions meticulously.
- Participate in design reviews and provide expert input on system architecture and integration approaches.
- Stay current with automotive industry trends, new technologies, and evolving integration challenges.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the continuous improvement of integration processes and methodologies.
- Ensure all integration activities align with project timelines and automotive industry standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in automotive systems engineering, with a significant focus on integration.
- Proven experience with automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, Automotive Ethernet, and UDS.
- Familiarity with automotive electronic control units (ECUs) and their interaction.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools (e.g., INCA, Vector CANoe/CANalyzer) and data logging equipment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to systematically debug complex issues.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, essential for working effectively in a remote, cross-functional team.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic development environment.
- Passion for automotive technology and a drive for innovation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree is preferred.
- Experience with AUTOSAR or similar embedded software architectures is highly desirable.
