IoT Edge Full Stack Developer

Position Overview

Our client in Dallas, TX is seeking a Contract IoT Edge Full Stack Developer with a focus on Java and strong Kubernetes skills. This role, reporting within Hitachi Digital Services, is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative engineering team that specializes in advanced SCADA system development and deployment. The project is scheduled for 6+ months, and the compensation is $70 per hour on W2. Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and optimize Ignition systems, including the gateway and core components.
• Identify and implement necessary drivers (e.g., Allen Bradley & custom drivers) for PLC data ingestion.
• Collaborate with the IIoT networking team to manage firewall configurations and ensure secure data exchange.
• Replicate and enhance existing Factory Talk View systems within Ignition Perspective using C#/.Net.
• Expose data from Ignition as MQTT or other formats and troubleshoot performance issues.

Required Qualifications

• Experience with the installation and configuration of Ignition SCADA systems.
• Proficiency in identifying and implementing drivers for PLC data ingestion.
• Strong understanding of IIoT networking and firewall configuration.
• Proficient in C#/.Net with experience replicating functionalities from Rockwell product suites.
• Working knowledge of data formats, such as MQTT, for integration purposes.
• Availability on the East Coast for effective collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Java development and enterprise applications.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes for container orchestration.
• Prior exposure to SCADA systems beyond the core requirements is a plus.
