Position Overview

As a Scientist I, Precision Cardiology in San Diego, you will support our proprietary AOC platform by advancing the discovery and development of therapeutics for genetically driven cardiac and skeletal muscle diseases. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support exploratory biology efforts for novel cardiac targets.
- Develop and optimize in vitro and in vivo models of cardiomyopathies and heart failure.
- Apply and adapt molecular and cellular techniques to support drug discovery in the cardiac space.
- Stay current with scientific literature and introduce innovative methodologies.
- Contribute to cross-functional collaboration, data analysis, and presentations.
Required Qualifications
- PhD in a relevant biological science with at least 2 years of combined industry and/or post-doctoral experience in cardiac research or a related field.
- Strong publication record, including first-author contributions in high-impact journals focused on cardiac biology.
- Experience with in vitro and/or in vivo cardiac model systems.
- Proficiency in medium- to high-throughput assay formats and standard molecular biology techniques (e.g., RNA isolation, qRT-PCR, cell culture); hands-on experience with spatial transcriptomics, scRNA-seq, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, and proteomics is a plus.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly convey scientific findings to cross-functional teams and senior leadership.

- Base Salary: $118,750 - $131,250 (final compensation commensurate with relevant experience, skillset, internal equity, and market factors)
