Freelance Graphic Designer

Position Overview

We are seeking a Graphic Designer to join Inquilinos Boricuas En Accion (IBA) in Boston, MA, on a Contract basis. As a creative partner, you will support project-based design services—ranging from annual reports to event graphics—that help amplify IBA's mission and impact within multicultural, Latinx, and mission-driven communities.

Key Responsibilities

• Design a 20–25 page digital Annual Report for 2025 with a publication deadline of March 18, 2026.
• Create visual assets for the La CASA Grand Opening, including invitations and social media graphics.
• Develop graphic elements for Festival Betances and the Holiday Concert.
• Produce promotional flyers and social media graphics for gallery exhibitions at La CASA and for the Tito Puente Latin Music Series.
• Assist with the digital design and layout of IBA’s quarterly electronic newsletters.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience producing high-quality design work for nonprofit or mission-driven organizations, with a strong portfolio that reflects work for multicultural and Latinx audiences.
• Expertise in layout, typography, visual storytelling, and accessibility best practices, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Submission of a portfolio or 3–5 relevant work samples is required.
• Excellent project management and clear communication skills.
• Familiarity with standard design tools/software and experience using Canva Pro (or equivalent) is preferred.
• Ability to align design work strictly with IBA’s existing brand guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with full website redesigns or refreshes is beneficial.
