Position Overview
After Hours Pediatrics is under new leadership and management. We are a pediatric urgent care offering a multitude of services for children, infants, and adolescents up to age 21. Our mission is to enhance the lives of children, their families, and the community by providing superior and compassionate care through a team-based environment. Key Responsibilities
- Provides general care and education to patients regarding x-rays
- Uses a variety of radiation protection and shielding materials
- Prepares patients for radiologic procedures and takes x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety
- Performs tasks including record-keeping and maintaining supply inventory
- Performs proper x-ray duties as requested by the provider
- Ensures equipment is in working order and reports malfunctions to the Practice Manager
- Assists with medical tasks to maintain a smooth flow of the clinic
- Performs medical assistant procedures including triage, taking vital signs, preparing patients for the provider, and reviewing medical history
- Performs basic CLIA waived rapid lab tests, EKGs, and administers IM injections when necessary/ordered
- Applies splints, dressings, and bandages as ordered
- Maintains examination rooms and stocks necessary medical and radiologic supplies
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Active BXMO certification or Registered Technologist (ARRT) certification for the State of FL
- CPR/BLS certification
- Experience with EMR platforms
- Working knowledge of medical terminology
- Medical Assistant training or experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Bilingual (highly preferred but not required)
- Knowledge of Urgent Care procedures
- Pediatric experience (highly recommended)
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
- Ability to navigate and learn the company’s EMR; experience with MS Windows and Microsoft Office 360
- Strong judgment with patient safety as a top priority
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Availability to work weekdays and weekend shifts
