Job Description

Position Overview

Join Ascension St. John, a leading healthcare organization located in Location: Tulsa, OK. As part of the Physician Support department, you'll work on a Schedule: 40 hours weekly, full time day shift. In this role, you will provide education, training, and support to clinical staff on the effective utilization of the Electronic Medical Record (EMR), lead training programs and performance improvement initiatives, and support end users during regulatory surveys. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide education, training, and support to clinical staff on utilization of the EMR and participate in performance assessment and improvement initiatives.
  • Organize training programs, develop and deliver population-specific learning, and evaluate training outcomes.
  • Conduct ongoing training needs assessments across the organization.
  • Participate in the design, testing, and evaluation of clinical informatics applications to improve performance.
  • Provide continuous support for system training related issues for clinical staff.
  • Track issues and work to enhance processes, efficiency, and compliance with electronic documentation standards.
  • Identify risk areas in documentation and collaborate with site and department leaders to implement corrective measures.
  • Assist site and department leaders with navigating the EMR during regulatory surveys.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Formal training or certification in Clinical Informatics, Health Informatics, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting EHR implementations or optimizations.
  • Experience serving as a liaison between clinical and technical teams.
  • Local residency required with frequent onsite work at clinic locations.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally between clinic sites.
