Job Description

Position Overview

Wasserman operates at the epicenter of sports, music, entertainment and culture, serving talent, brands and properties on a global scale. Headquartered in Los Angeles with an extensive international presence, the organization offers a unique environment for hands-on learning.This is an unpaid internship; candidates must be eligible to receive college credit as compensation, and proof of eligibility is required during the interview process.Deadline to apply: April 15, 2025.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development, implementation, and social media strategy for Wasserman social accounts – specifically for basketball, soccer, and The Collective (women’s practice).
  • Help with copywriting and design in Canva and Photoshop to ensure content is informative and compelling.
  • Collaborate with other Wasserman departments.
  • Measure the success of social media campaigns.
  • Design and create visually appealing informational graphics that adhere to brand guidelines and maintain a consistent visual identity.
  • Suggest new, creative content ideas and conduct research and social media scans for a wide list of clients.
  • Support various tasks as needed while gaining exposure to multiple facets of marketing and communications.

Required Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree, preferably in Graphic Design, Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Digital Media, or a related field.
  • Strong writing and graphic editing skills.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, or Figma.
  • Ability to take creative direction and work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • A portfolio demonstrating past social media graphics or design work is preferred.
  • Understanding of the media landscape — including print, online, and broadcast — and familiarity with basketball, soccer, and women’s sports, music, entertainment, and activism.
  • Thorough knowledge of social media trends and best practices for engagement.
  • Well-developed communication, organizational, analytical, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and strict deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and high organizational capabilities.
  • Must be able to receive college credit for the internship opportunity.
