Lead UI/UX Designer

Position Overview

Our client is looking for a talented and innovative Lead UI/UX Designer to join their growing team. In this hybrid role, you will work both remotely and from the Portland, Oregon office, owning the overall user experience and interface design of digital products. You will lead a team, mentor junior designers, and collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to translate complex user needs into intuitive and engaging designs.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the overall user experience and interface design of digital products.
• Guide and mentor a team of designers, fostering a culture of creative excellence.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to align user needs with business requirements.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to validate design concepts.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, high-fidelity mockups, user personas, and journey maps.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in UI/UX design, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• A strong portfolio showcasing design thinking, interaction design, and visual design.
• Expertise in industry-standard design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe Creative Suite.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
