The Nuclear Company is the fastest-growing startup in the nuclear power space, deploying nuclear reactors at fleet scale to help address America’s surging energy demand. The company is solving for two longstanding challenges with nuclear power — delivering reactors on time and on budget. Key to the company’s unique approach is modernizing construction practices. The company is seeking highly motivated and talented graduating engineers to join our team as we work to ensure America has the abundant clean power needed to fortify its place as the world’s top economy.

About The Program: This program offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in Nuclear Energy (e.g., Engineering, Construction, and Technology), work on real-world projects under the guidance of experienced engineers and nuclear professionals, develop technical skills and professional competencies, network with industry professionals, and demonstrate your potential for an increased responsibility in an engineering and leadership role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior engineers in the design, development, and testing of engineering solutions.
  • Conduct research and analysis to support project goals.
  • Prepare technical documentation and reports.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to project discussions.
  • Perform calculations and simulations as required.
  • Assist in the troubleshooting and problem-solving of technical issues.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and quality standards.
  • Complete assigned tasks within established timelines.
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.
  • Innovate to improve company and project performance.

Required Qualifications

  • Recent graduate or graduating senior with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Computer Engineering.
  • Strong academic record; work experience including internships and co-ops is valued.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks; programming languages like Python; 3D modeling/simulation software; ANSYS).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new challenges.
