Senior Laboratory Technician

Position Overview

Construction Testing Services, a leader in material testing, inspection, geotechnical investigations, and engineering services throughout California and Nevada, is seeking a Senior Laboratory Technician. In this Full-time role, you will work in a dynamic laboratory environment performing tests on soil, asphalt, and concrete materials according to ASTM, AASHTO, and NDOT standards. Applicants should be detail oriented as they contribute to quality assurance on major construction projects. Compensation for this position is $25.00 - $30.00 per hour, and the role is based in-person in Las Vegas, NV 89120.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and test samples of soil, asphalt, and concrete according to ASTM, AASHTO, and NDOT.
• Operate and maintain lab equipment to ensure accurate measurement and testing.
• Work under the supervision of the Lab Manager and Lab Supervisor.
• Calibrate testing equipment as required to maintain best practices in quality control.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working in a construction materials testing lab.
• Knowledge of relevant ASTM, AASHTO, and NDOT standards.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to lift and handle material samples (up to 50 lbs.).
• Valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certificate in ACI (ACI Concrete Field Testing, ACI Aggregate Testing Level I, ACI Aggregate Base) and NAQTC or applicable credentials a plus.
