Position Overview

AquaPhoenix Scientific, headquartered in Hanover, PA, is growing and seeking a motivated and enthusiasticJunior Software Engineerto join our innovative technology team. In this full-time, remote (U.S. based) role, you will contribute to our AWS-hosted SaaS platform while learning from experienced professionals in a supportive, collaborative environment. Residence in the DFW metroplex area is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in building web and mobile applications using React and related technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Develop and maintain both frontend and backend components of our customer-facing SaaS platform.
  • Participate in daily stand-ups, agile ceremonies, and manage ticket and PR deployments.
  • Work with senior engineers to continuously improve code quality and adopt best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • 0–2 years of experience in software development (internships or academic projects welcome).
  • Familiarity with React, JavaScript/TypeScript, or other frontend frameworks.
  • Basic understanding of cloud platforms like AWS and REST APIs.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git, and a willingness to learn containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Residency in the DFW metroplex area is a plus.
  • Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience with mobile application development or container orchestration.
