Job Description
Position Overview
As a Postal Clerk with the Postal Service—the largest government-related agency employing nearly 1 million people—you will play a key role in ensuring smooth mail operations. In this position you will sell stamps, handle incoming mail, sort and distribute mail, and assist the public with mailing needs (such as change of address, mail holds, and issuing post office box keys). NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED – PAID TRAINING PROVIDED; however, you must be 18 years of age or older and a U.S. citizen.
Key Responsibilities
- Sell stamps and process transactions at retail counters.
- Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail.
- Assist customers with mailing services such as change of address, mail holds, and issuing post office box keys.
- Perform various clerical functions as required to support daily operations.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
