Job Description

Position Overview

Syner-G BioPharma Group is a science-led, strategic partner for life science companies offering integrated regulatory and biopharmaceutical development services from early development to post-market support. In this role, the Senior Project Manager will oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and the highest quality standards.

Note: Travel to client sites may be required up to 100%.

Key Responsibilities

  • Keep the Project Director fully informed about all problem areas and present solutions/mitigations.
  • Review technical submissions from Architectural and Engineering (A&E) firms, including MEP and structural drawings and construction specifications.
  • Assist with preparing job start-up and close-out checklists.
  • Manage project documentation including plans, specifications, contracts, purchase orders, submittals, and as-built records.
  • Oversee the Transfer of Care and Custody (TOCC) to facility operations with thorough documentation.
  • Utilize project/construction management software (e.g., ProCore, E-Builder, Prolog) and Microsoft Projects.
  • Act as owner’s representative on capital projects.
  • Maintain a detail-oriented approach with strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering.
  • 8-14+ years of experience as a project engineer, preferably in the Petrochemical, Chemical, or Refining industry on major capital projects.
  • Experience taking projects from design through construction into commissioning.
  • Proven ability to mobilize and supervise diverse contractors (GC, CM, Mechanical, Electrical, etc.) and execute projects in operating facilities.
  • Experience with start-up, commissioning, and handover of lab/office building systems (e.g., HVAC, emergency power, UPS, lab gases, RODI water, boilers).
  • Experience in daily planning meetings, site walkthroughs, documenting progress, and safety reviews (work permits, job hazard analyses, etc.).
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with stakeholders, managers, contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Knowledge and experience using Microsoft Projects.
  • A strong attention to detail with analytical and organizational prowess.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP Certification is a plus.

  • Compensation: The expected salary range for this position is $107,000 to $130,000. Actual pay will be based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other factors.
