Job Description for Engineering Operator:

The Engineering Operator's role involves conducting routine and emergency maintenance tasks to uphold the property's proper operation, safety, and appearance. This includes responding to repair requests from guests, implementing preventive maintenance strategies, troubleshooting equipment and system problems, and keeping the work environment clean and secure. Proficiency in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and general building systems is crucial for this position, along with effective communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Deal with guest repair and maintenance requests in a professional and timely manner
  • Successfully manage maintenance concerns by communicating effectively with both guests and team members
  • Perform preventative upkeep on tools, kitchen apparatus, and mechanical gear by executing cleaning and lubricating tasks
  • Examine equipment, tools, and systems visually to identify possible concerns
  • Update maintenance supplies inventory regularly and order parts as needed
  • Support teamwork by collaborating with peers, endorsing collective goals, and addressing colleague issues constructively

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D equivalent.
  • Some experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation and painting.
  • Previous work in hotel engineering or maintenance is advantageous
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license
  • No supervisory experience necessary
