In this role, you will report to the SVP of Procurement and Strategic Sourcing and be responsible for the strategic oversight and management of supply chain logistics and technology for the department, ensuring that departmental goals align with the Hospital’s objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic oversight and management of supply chain logistics and technology for the Procurement and Strategic Sourcing Department.
- Ensure the development and achievement of goals aligned with the Hospital’s objectives.
- Manage campus-based hospital supply chain staff in functions including receiving, internal distribution, replenishment, shipping, general stores, strategic planning, inventory management and control, and equipment center operations.
- Maintain effective communication with hospital executives, department heads, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth departmental operations.
- Drive supply chain standardization of best practices across the enterprise.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in logistics, inventory management, and systems in a substantial organization.
- Planning/project management skills with the ability to coordinate day-to-day execution of materials/inventory management.
- Strong management and leadership skills with an emphasis on developing people.
- Analytical skills to identify critical issues and develop methodologies for data collection and analysis (e.g., in-stock rates, delivery times).
- Knowledge of inventory or materials management systems.
- Ability to interact with and address the needs of internal clients.
Preferred Qualifications
- Supply chain experience in healthcare.
- Experience with supply chain technologies such as RFID, ERP/MMIS, and Point of Use systems.
- Experience working with senior executives or leaders.
- Experience managing a large team.
- Master's degree in Business Administration or another advanced degree.
