Junior Web Developer

Position Overview

The New York Jets are seeking a Junior Software Developer to join their team. In this role, you’ll collaborate with experienced developers to design, build, and maintain custom-built applications that support diverse departments across the organization. Applicants should be proficient in full-stack web development using tools such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SQL; as well as programming languages like C# or Python and frameworks including React, Next.js, MVC.NET, and NodeJS.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior developers to design, build, and maintain custom applications
• Develop responsive, scalable applications using modern frameworks such as .NET, React, and Node.js
• Write clean, maintainable code and actively participate in code reviews
• Maintain technical documentation including comments, user stories, tasks, and bug reports
• Troubleshoot and perform QA on issues, bugs, and new features in collaboration with stakeholders
• Provide on-call support for critical production systems when necessary

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent experience in software development
• 1-3 years of web frontend development experience
• Solid understanding of web development fundamentals (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
• Familiarity with at least one backend language such as C# or Python
• Experience working with SQL for data retrieval and management
• Strong problem-solving skills, self-motivation, and a passion for learning new technologies
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with MS SQL database management and C#/.NET is a plus
• Familiarity with Azure, Databricks, and best security development practices is a plus

• Salary Range: USD $65,000 to $80,000 per year with a discretionary annual company bonus
