Position Overview
Position: ADMINISTRATIVE EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT
Compensation: $43,617.00
Performs advanced (senior-level) professional assistance work for the County Judge. Work involves coordinating or overseeing high-level administrative operations of the County Judge's office. May assign and/or supervise the work of others; works under limited supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Reports directly to the County Judge.
Key Responsibilities
- Develops administrative procedures, standards, and methods.
- Prepares technical aspects of manuals and publications.
- Oversees the review and evaluation of work content to develop effective administrative practices and formulate policies that improve public services.
- Coordinates work with other governmental agencies and private organizations.
- Advises the County Judge on administrative matters.
- Provides technical administrative assistance to the County Judge.
- Assists in planning, preparing, or overseeing records, correspondence, presentations, etc.
- May assist with general human resource management actions and budget preparation.
- May assign or supervise the work of others.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in business administration, political science, or related fields; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least two (2) years of related experience (with two (2) years substitutable for one (1) year of education).
- Must have a current valid Texas motor vehicle operator's license and be insurable by the County's insurance carrier.
- At least one year of technical training in computer applications, proficient in Microsoft Office and office systems.
- Strong communication skills, ability to handle high-level administrative issues, supervise others, and analyze and solve work-related problems.
