Position Overview

As a Senior Data Scientist and Analytics Product Owner for Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) clients, you will partner with diverse colleagues across the globe and gain unparalleled mentorship, coaching, and feedback. You will help drive innovation by building long-term analytical capabilities that empower clients to make better commercial decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive the innovation agenda for CPG Analytics by defining use cases and aligning priorities with key partners.
• Contribute to the roadmap for analytical code innovation by integrating new modeling features, AI/ML approaches, and automation strategies.
• Provide expert leadership in client projects, working directly with consulting teams to shape analytics approaches and deliver actionable insights.
• Collaborate with internal teams such as the Periscope Retail and CPG solutions groups to drive and scale analytical innovations across projects.

Required Qualifications:

• Advanced degree in applied math, economics, statistics, or another quantitative science.
• 5+ years of experience in consulting, development, or retail pricing/promotional management with a strong background in practical data analysis.
• Proficiency with advanced analytics techniques, including econometric modeling, ML approaches such as XGBoost and decision trees, and optimization via Solver.
• Experience in developing analytical solutions for both internal and external stakeholders.
• Advanced knowledge of statistical packages and proficiency in Python and R.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with statistical analysts and cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the capability to manage overlapping priorities and tight timelines.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills for partnering with clients and internal teams.
• Ability to critically evaluate and communicate business issues and risks with conviction.
