Low Voltage Technician- Data Center Cheyenne

Position Overview

The Low Voltage Technician position at LINX involves working in a team environment to install, maintain, and troubleshoot low voltage cable systems in a large data center setting. Technicians are expected to demonstrate excellent customer service skills while performing their duties, which include cabling installation, testing, and documentation. The role requires a dependable and willing-to-learn individual who can work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Cabling installation and termination for all media types.
• Cabling testing and documentation.
• Build-out of MDF and IDF including racks, patch panels, and network electronics.
• Installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of low voltage cable systems.
• Perform cable pulling, suspension, fireproofing, terminating, and testing in accordance with BICSI standards and NEC regulations.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service skills and create a positive impression with customers.
• Provide value to customers through effective communication and problem-solving skills.
• Perform all work in a neat and quality manner.
• Travel to job sites within Colorado and potentially outside of Colorado.

Required Qualifications

• CPR Certification
• Customer service skills
• High school diploma or GED
• Driver's License
• First Aid Certification
• BICSI Certification
• 1 year of low voltage experience
• Confined Space Certification
• Strong communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• BICSI Technician or Installation Certification
• Powder Actuated tools Certification
• Manufacturers certifications for Installation and Maintenance
