We are seeking a Tissue Processing Technician to join our team in San Diego. This role will be responsible for performing essential laboratory support tasks, including processing tissue in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). You will work closely with the research team to ensure smooth laboratory operations and contribute to ongoing project success.

Key Responsibilities

• Slice tissue using specialized equipment in a controlled lab environment
• Process and section tissue, ensuring high-quality production for diagnostic applications
• Maintain and clean sectioning equipment according to SOPs
• Record detailed and accurate documentation for all manufacturing activities
• Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and report to supervisors for resolution
• Assist with equipment setup, inventory control, and safety procedures
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and report any hazards promptly
• Participate in department projects such as 6S, cycle counts, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Perform other tasks as required to support lab operations

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Ability to work with hands in a cold environment
• Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office
• Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions accurately
• U.S. work authorization required

Preferred Qualifications

• 0-1 years of laboratory experience preferred
• Familiarity with biological and chemical lab practices is a plus
