Position Overview

In this role, you will support the coordination of pharmacy refills and medication requests from patients and providers while promoting the quality and effectiveness of Pharmacy Services. You will handle high call volumes via telephone and electronic communications, utilizing exceptional computer skills to multitask across multiple systems and determine the appropriateness for medication refills. Key Responsibilities
- Support coordination of pharmacy refills and medication requests from patients and providers.
- Promote and support the quality and effectiveness of Pharmacy Services.
- Communicate pharmacy requests according to established guidelines.
- Manage a high volume of calls and electronic communications from patients and providers.
- Utilize exceptional computer skills to multitask across multiple systems.
- Determine the appropriateness for medication refills.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Organization and accurate record keeping skills.
- Must be a Registered Technician with the State of Georgia.
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of an ASHP accredited pharmacy technician-training program is preferred.
- Pharmacy Technician PTCB Certification is preferred.
- Basic computer data entry skills with the ability to type approximately 30 wpm.
