Position Overview

Chugach Government Solutions is a defense & space company specializing in construction and educational services. They are seeking a Software Developer/Programmer to design, develop, test, and maintain software applications while ensuring high-quality solutions for clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements.
• Design and implement software solutions based on client needs and technical specifications.
• Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code following best practices.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize existing applications.
• Conduct comprehensive testing to ensure software quality and functionality.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve solutions.
• Document processes, designs, and application functionality for future reference.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field
• Experience in software language and development (C#, C++, Java, JavaScript, Python)
• Must HAVE a Secret Clearance
• Must be a part of a DOD SkillBridge program
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and background check prior to hire
• Experience with frameworks like React, Angular, or Spring (depending on the role)
• Solid understanding of software development methodologies, version control systems, and agile practices
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• Familiarity with database management systems like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB
• Experience with mobile development for iOS or Android platforms
• Ability to develop APIs or work with RESTful services
