Position Overview
Hazen and Sawyer is seeking entry-level engineers for our South Florida Offices to work on a variety of water-related assignments in Environmental, Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Structural, and related engineering disciplines. The role involves contributing to projects spanning water, wastewater, stormwater, reuse, and infrastructure. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing engineering deliverables, including sampling studies, condition assessments, process modeling, hydraulics, and design reports.
- Manage data for process modeling and design.
- Attend client and internal project management meetings.
- Coordinate with manufacturers and vendors to select equipment.
- Support multiple projects from planning through construction.
- Participate in fieldwork and site visits.
Required Qualifications
- EIT or plan to obtain within 2 years.
- 0-5 years of experience.
- Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in computer software typically used (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong organizational skills.
- B.S. degree in Environmental, Civil, Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctorate) in Environmental, Civil, Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited U.S. program (other engineering degrees considered on a case-by-case basis).
- Ability to conduct self-quality reviews before submitting work for additional QA/QC.
- Proficiency in GIS, CAD/BIM, BioWin, PowerBI, and other software.
