Job Summary

RapidScale is seeking a Senior Public Cloud Specialist and a Public Cloud Specialist II to spearhead new business initiatives across our public and private cloud portfolios.

What You’ll Do

  • Relentlessly hunt for new cloud professional and managed services opportunities.
  • Drive client discovery through executive-level engagement and translate needs into tailored solutions.
  • Craft and present compelling proposals, presentations, and demos to secure deals.
  • Maintain a robust sales pipeline and accurate forecasting in Salesforce, ensuring a strong pipeline-to-quota ratio.
  • Leverage partnerships with AWS, Microsoft, and Google Cloud to expand reach and accelerate sales cycles.
  • Stay ahead of the curve by continuously learning and sharing insights on emerging cloud technologies and market trends.

Who You Are

You are a cloud-savvy sales professional with a blend of technical expertise and a hunter's mentality. You thrive in dynamic environments, make prospecting a daily habit, and have the executive presence to engage with CIOs, CTOs, and product leaders.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Previous experience in selling IT/cloud solutions in a consultative B2B setting.
  • Track record of collaborating with sales teams to close complex deals and build lasting relationships.
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing platforms, with at least one relevant certification (e.g., AWS Cloud Practitioner, Azure Fundamentals, Google Cloud Digital Leader).
  • Experience in full-lifecycle sales with a record of exceeding quotas.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 6 years of experience; or a master’s degree and 4 years; or a Ph.D. with 1 year of experience; or 10 years of experience in a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP partner programs.
  • Hands-on experience with IaaS, PaaS, containerization, and hybrid cloud strategies.
  • Industry expertise in Healthcare, Financial Services, or SaaS.
  • Advanced cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect - Associate).

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation includes a base salary range of $107,600.00 to $179,400.00, with potential annual incentives/commission of $90,000.00. The specific salary will vary based on location and candidate experience.

We offer our employees the flexibility to take as much vacation as needed while meeting company needs, generous paid holidays, and up to 160 hours of paid wellness time annually for personal or family wellness. Additional paid time off includes bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
