Position Overview
Are you passionate about turning inventory data into actionable insights that drive mission success? We are seeking a Logistics Data Analyst to support the U.S. Navy by tracking, analyzing, and reporting on inventory and asset data to ensure streamlined logistics operations. This role is based at LCSRON TWO, Naval Station Mayport, Florida 32228. Please note: The following states/districts are excluded from this job ad: AK, CA, CO, CT, DC, HI, IL, LA, MA, MN, MO, NE, NV, NH, NJ, NM, NY, ND, OR, PR, RI, VT, WA, WY.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the development of inventory and logistics objectives and drafting deliverable plans.
- Translate business goals into measurable key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Track ship part usage, inventory levels, and component movement across fleets.
- Perform data analysis on reports and queries to create inventory performance metrics.
- Create graphs, charts, and tables to communicate inventory and logistics insights.
- Monitor inventory trends and suggest improvements based on logistics needs.
- Support the technical team with database process flows and review metric accuracy.
- Prepare PowerPoint presentations for high-level fleet logistics briefings.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and the technical team to clarify requirements and drive best practices.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience supporting business management and analysis.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field.
- Strong experience gathering and interpreting business goals.
- Proficient in performing data analysis on inventory reports and database queries.
- Skilled in evaluating data to support logistics business metrics development.
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite (Access, SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to convert complex data into clear graphs, charts, and tables.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive interpersonal relationships and work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Security Requirement: Must have an active Secret security clearance and U.S. Citizenship, with the ability to maintain a DoD Clearance.
