Job Description
Position Overview
FLUENT, in exclusive partnership with Connected New York, is excited to hire an HVAC Technician I for its state-of-the-art cultivation facility in Buffalo, New York. In this role, you will assist the Maintenance Supervisor by performing various HVAC maintenance, electrical, and repair activities across the facility, ensuring smooth operations and a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with and assist the maintenance team with preventive maintenance, repairs, and other assigned tasks
- Monitor the operation and proper use of all equipment and systems
- Document start and completion of tasks using the Monday.com tracker
- Help maintain HVAC systems and troubleshoot electrical issues
- Utilize, maintain, and keep track of power tools and mobile equipment
- Conduct daily visual inspections inside and outside the facility
- Perform basic plumbing repairs including plugged sewer lines, urinals, commodes, faucets, and water valves
- Inspect, repair, and replace or install equipment such as fans, dehumidifiers, railings, lights, drives, doors, and ramps
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Report damages, defects and other issues to the Maintenance Supervisor
- Ensure facilities and equipment conform to company standards and safety regulations
- Adhere to health and safety standards, complying with company policies and procedures
- Complete all GMP and SOP paperwork neatly and accurately
- Collaborate with other maintenance workers as needed
Required Qualifications
- Tech school/trade school trained or graduate
- HVAC Certification
- Refrigerant recovery experience
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills
- Strong mechanical background
- Experience with RTUs - Packaged Roof Tops
- Desire to learn new skills in maintenance
- A high level of self-awareness, receptivity to change, and integrity
- Energy and enthusiasm
- Excellent communication, time management, and organization skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction and exercise independent judgment
- Demonstrated integrity, dedication, and a strong work ethic
- Ability to accurately follow multi-layered written and oral instructions
- Capability to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment

- Strong teamwork and interpersonal communication skills
- Regular attendance is essential
