Telepharmacy Technician – (Onsite – Store 17591 – Chicago, Illinois) –Part Time

Working within our Telepharmacy Remote Dispensing Pharmacy (RDP) locations, our Telepharmacy Technicians play a critical role in managing daily pharmacy operations and delivering operational and service excellence under pharmacist oversight.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow all company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to support safe and effective pharmacy operations.
• Oversee the secure operation of the Remote Dispensing Pharmacy, including keyholding and protecting pharmacy products, with special attention to refrigerated items and controlled substances.
• Adhere to workflow procedures across all pharmacy workstations (production, pick-up, drive-thru, drop-off) for accurate prescription fulfillment.
• Complete tasks associated with controlled substance prescription fulfillment, including counting, capturing images, and maintaining inventory.
• Enhance patient experiences by demonstrating empathy, creating personalized moments, and addressing or escalating patient concerns.
• Perform inventory activities such as receiving medication deliveries, cycle counts, and returns-to-stock to maintain target levels and mitigate loss.
• Contribute to a high-performing team by embracing a growth mindset, seeking feedback, and expanding clinical and technical knowledge.
• Maintain scheduling flexibility and support business needs, including voluntary travel to stores as required.
• Serve as a peer mentor for onboarding and training new Telepharmacy Technicians.
• Comply with all relevant federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and CVS policies to ensure patient safety and privacy.
• Support additional patient health care services (e.g., immunizations, point-of-care testing) when the pharmacist is on-site and conditions allow.
• Where permissible, support immunization services by completing necessary licensure and training, educating patients, monitoring for adverse reactions, and managing vaccine supplies.

Required Qualifications

• Compliance with all state board of pharmacy requirements, including age, education, and licensure/certification; if unspecified, must be at least 18 years of age and hold a high school diploma (or equivalent) or be actively enrolled in high school.
• National Certification (PTCB or ExCPT) and adherence to state-level licensure requirements.
• Minimum of 1 year full-time experience as a Pharmacy Technician; CVS Pharmacy Technician experience preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Advanced Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT-Adv) credential.
• Ability to become immunization certified.
• Experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service settings.
• Experience in an Inventory Specialist role and capability to work flexibly across multiple locations.
