Position Overview

As a Loan Officer Associate at Lennar – one of the nation's leading homebuilders and a Fortune 500 company – you will be empowered to build your future. In this role, you assist Loan Officers while developing the skills and knowledge needed to become a Loan Officer. You will gain hands-on experience through both online and classroom training, contributing to a career built on purpose, making dreams come true, and ensuring quality in every home.

Key Responsibilities

  • Learning Development: Participate in formal training programs covering various aspects of lending, including understanding loan types, assessing creditworthiness, and navigating the loan approval process. Learn to price and lock loans using mortgage rate sheets and review reports to understand the complete mortgage process from application to closing.
  • Continuous Education and Licensure: Successfully complete testing for mortgage licensing and any required state licensing, and maintain up-to-date RESPA knowledge through continuing education courses.
  • Support and Coordination: Update loan applications with any missing data and maintain notes in the Loan Origination System to ensure seamless information exchange. Occasionally assist with the initial file setup.
  • Business Development and Customer Relations: Engage in builder and realtor functions to develop relationships and collaborate with Division Managers and Loan Officers on local marketing campaigns.
  • Customer-Centric Approach: Serve as a primary contact for borrowers, ensuring prompt responses via phone, email, or chat, and schedule meetings to address follow-up issues as needed.
  • Collaboration and Flexibility: Assist processors and closers in procuring necessary loan documents and support internal associates with a flexible schedule that may include weekends and evenings.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience articulating product or service features, benefits, and value
  • A genuine passion for exceeding customer expectations
  • Exceptional organizational abilities with keen attention to detail and strong multitasking skills
  • Proficiency in standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications

  • BA or BS degree
  • Mortgage or banking experience
